While the best time to take newborn portraits is usually under two weeks of age for the sweet curly newborn shots, this little man proved that you can still get some stunning portraits at five weeks, it just requires a little extra patience (that said, what newborn session doesn't require that!?). Boy this little guy charmed me so! Was such a treat to capture some awake portraits for a change, and while he might not have slept as much as some of the little people I work with, we still managed to achieve some darling dreamy shots in his session and isn't he is just utterly delicious! <3 Oh and Ruby the dog was almost as charming with her long lashes and took great interest in our session!

NEWBORN ZACHARY // 10 days new

This family of four was such fun to work with and how sweet is wee Zachary in darling big sister Chloe's arms... swoon! I can barely contain myself with one cute person to capture my attention so was such a thrill to have two to keep me on my toes. Enjoy these first portraits of Zachary and his adoring family...

With lashes for days this little girl stole my heart on first glimpse, I mean how gorgeous is she!! She simply loved having her arms up in the air and practically posed herself for some of these delicious portraits. Little Charlotte has two of the loveliest people I've met for parents and I was so honoured to capture these portraits in her precious first weeks of life...

Jessica + David // Married

I'm so delighted to share a glimpse of Jess and Dave's gorgeous wedding day! Jess looked absolutely stunning and Dave simply could not keep his eyes off his beautiful bride. I couldn't get over how calm these two were, the entire wedding had such a wonderful relaxed atmosphere and I adore all the gorgeous personal touches to their wedding such as the engraved rings and tie pins and woodlands inspired styling, all of which reflect this couple's shared love for the outdoors. I'm so honoured to have been a part of the celebration of this new journey they are embarking on together as newlyweds...

Meet Madeline... two weeks new and all this autumn baby wanted to do was take in the world. One of the favourite things about my job (apart from all the cuddles) is witnessing the total adoration from new parents. What a little personality too! I couldn't get enough of her expressions and don't get me started on those eyebrows... the level of cute is almost too much!!

Jessica + David // Hamilton Gardens Engagement Session

These two will be married on Saturday and I cannot wait! A storm was forecast was our engagement session in Hamilton Gardens, but it never did join us and instead we had blue skies and some really beautiful light. I could photograph this couple forever, and would easily have spent longer in the greenhouse despite the fact we had only a few moments until another bride was due to arrive! We got so many gorgeous portraits all the same, and the light rain that did arrive led to some romantic portraits under the large trees for shelter...

Angela + Jonathan // kawau island maternity session

These two lovely parents-to-be could not have chosen a more exciting location for our maternity session together during Easter weekend! Travelling by ferry to visit Mansion House on Kawau Island ("a jewel in the Hauraki gulf") was such a delight and it was such a gorgeous, hot day for our trip! There was so much to take in, from dolphins swimming beside the boat, the gorgeous exotic gardens, the beautiful victorian building with it's enchanting interiors and history, particularly the nursery where we simply had to capture some portraits! I feel so honoured to have been given access to such a stunning location, and the generosity of these two, who's enthusiasm was infectious made us immediately feel like friends! I cannot wait to visit this hidden gem again and I especially cannot wait to meet their little one very soon...

This wee girl decided she didn't want to miss out on a thing, arriving into the world 5 weeks early... and might I add what a DREAM baby to work with! She has set a new record in my books for being such a content little girl and I feel doubly blessed at the opportunity for more cuddles when I visited her lovely parents again today! Divine squishy goodness all right here... be still my heart!!

Love notes...

Love notes from clients make my heart swell - I am so blessed by the new relationships I build and the journeys my job takes me on...  I don't share enough of these but it's these little gestures that mean the world to me and make my day each and every time x

There are a number of posts I have been meaning to share and this poor blog of mine has been neglected of late so more to come soon including a glimpse of the gorgeous products I have been busy creating x

wedding thank you

Michelle + Robert // Married at Simunovich Olive Estate

Here is a glimpse into what was a truly beautiful and moving wedding! Michelle looked so gorgeous in her soft pink vintage-inspired gown, which perfectly complimented the soft greens of the Simunovich Olive Estate (also known as Bracu) nestled in the Bombay Hills. Michelle and Robert are absolute sweethearts and I was unsurprised to find their family and friends to be just as lovely. A little rain wasn't going to dampen their spirits and actually made for a really charming and romantic day. Their day also encompassed a traditional Chinese tea ceremony which I was so thrilled to be present for. I feel so honoured to have shared in their wedding and I am so excited for their future together... marrying your best friend really is one of the best ways to start!
