Little Leah is so darn cute and our patience resulted in some truly beautiful portraits. I not only have the joy of working with newborns but rather the double-pleasure of working with their siblings and family as well - witnessing the love and bond that is shared between them. Children are so wonderful and give their affection so freely I am always touched by the interactions I have in this profession! (I regularly have to pinch myself!)... as promised here are some of Leah's precious first portraits.
I was beyond excited to meet the latest addition to this gorgeous family I had the honour of working with a couple of years back. I love seeing my returning clients families grow and had to pinch myself that the little girl I was speaking with is that very newborn I held in my arms not very long ago. It is so special to capture these latest precious memories for them especially given they grow SO fast and these portraits only become more treasured over time. Welcome sweet Annabel with your charming eyebrows and endearing expressions xx
While the best time to take newborn portraits is usually under two weeks of age for the sweet curly newborn shots, this little man proved that you can still get some stunning portraits at five weeks, it just requires a little extra patience (that said, what newborn session doesn't require that!?). Boy this little guy charmed me so! Was such a treat to capture some awake portraits for a change, and while he might not have slept as much as some of the little people I work with, we still managed to achieve some darling dreamy shots in his session and isn't he is just utterly delicious! <3 Oh and Ruby the dog was almost as charming with her long lashes and took great interest in our session!
This sweet girl had us on our toes for her portraits but I fell head over heels in love after holding her and experiencing non-stop smiles and gazing into her beautiful big eyes. In fact, Layla insisted on staying awake for the family portraits and actually it was really lovely for a change. Often newborns are cross-eyed but she even looked right at the camera for me! I just love the final portraits, especially in black and white. What a gorgeous family… welcome to the world lovely girl (its easy to see she is simply adored) x
