This animal lover bride-to-be could not go past a zoo-themed engagement session, one that included an 'encounter' with a very cute little Madagascan animal! The zoo seemed a perfect fit for this fun couple, for they will be married at Orana Wildlife Park in Christchurch (Sarah's hometown) and it seems only fitting that their session be held in Michael's hometown at Wellington Zoo. After a hot and fun-filled day, we finished our session at Raumati Beach near Michael's family home. What a perfect end to a gorgeous Christmas Eve with a very sweet couple! x
If my blog still looks a little bare, that's because this is my brand new website, following my relocation to the 'big smoke', Auckland!!!
I got married in March and my partner in crime secured his dream job so it was the perfect excuse to start working towards building my own! I absolutely ADORED working as a picture framer, so it was a bittersweet move but one that I was ready for!
I'm loving it here so far and very excited to now be specializing in newborn photography! I will be taking on a limited number of weddings each year, as well as a limited number of portrait sessions to ensure I can give each and every one of my fabulous clients my full attention and the very best quality and service.
I'm far from a shoot-and-burn photographer and I care so much about creating wonderful work to display in their homes (that I myself would be proud to hang on my own walls!). I am thrilled that I can combine my passion for photography and framing and I also LOVE all the other delicious albums, products and packaging I am designing for clients (examples to come!).
It feels great to be able to help my clients make really good informed decisions about how they can present and also protect their precious memories, with my strong background in framing and design.
This is the very first year I will be operating Michelle Knowles Photography full time and I can't wait to give it the chance to grow and work with many more great couples very soon!
I was so excited when asked to assist the lovely Natalie from Natalie McNally Photography for Angela and Fletcher's colourful Cape Estate Wedding. It was such a fun wedding and I was asked to provide coverage of Fletcher with his groomsmen. I loved every minute working with Natalie for this wedding! Here's a little glimpse...
I was thrilled when at the last minute I was flown to Melbourne to photograph my sisters intimate wedding! These two have already shared many wonderful years together since meeting in Paris and falling in love. The guests consisted of their parents and a few close friends as witnesses and was such a wonderful surprise. What made this wedding so special was that their two little girls were there to witness their parents wedding celebration!
